About

Welcome to my practice. I am Board Certified Pastoral Counselor & Christian Counselor/Therapist in the state of Georgia and a Clinical Pastoral Therapist in Supervision for the state of Tennessee. I’m a trained Clinical Counselor & Life Coach, and LPC/LMFT qualified. I have specialized training in areas of Life Coaching, Trauma & Abuse Issues, Substance Abuse, Co-Occurring disorders, Cluster B personality disorders & more.

In my years of experience I have served as a Clinical Counselor and/or Pastoral Counselor in practices which specialize in Clinical Mental Health, Marriage/Family Therapy, and Drug & Alcohol inpatient & outpatient treatment. Over the years I have developed a specialized niche with emotional trauma & co-occurring issues resulting from internal and external situations. These situations may include traumas resulting from relational patterns of abuse and neglect from early family experiences, unhealthy/toxic personality disorders, cognitive distortions resulting from mental abuse and gaslighting, traumas resulting from external assault, accidents, chronic illness, and more.

My experience as a Chaplain/Pastoral Counselor, has given me opportunity to serve in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities as well as a hospital setting while completing my CPE education. I have a heart and special interest in working with the elderly population and those whose lives have been impacted by chronic illness.

I use the framework of God’s word as my primary source for counsel. I utilize assessment testing and evidence based methods that compliment spiritual truths on an as needed basis. I also offer mentoring to counselors and counseling students seeking to make the transition from clinical counseling into biblically based christian counseling.

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. - Colossians 1:28-29 (KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11(KJV)

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. - Philippians 4:4-13 (KJV)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. - Luke 4:18 (KJV)

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. - James 1:4 (KJV)
